Right now I am trying to get my husband out the door & on his bike so that the arvo can be spent taking a lovely stroll through the woods or the like.
It’s a lovely day today. I was pretty excited that I could sit outside in the sunshine & eat my breakfast & drink my tea. Oh heavenly.
My sister gave me some wonderful material for christmas 2 years ago & yes finally I have an idea of what to do with it!
I have decided to make our little possum a quilt. Something I can see and he can have close to him/* It is the first quilt I have made so it brings a little more of a special touch to it.
It has taken a while to sort out shapes & sizes, but finally today I have made up my mind on the main decisions at least.
I’ll be sure to keep you up to date on the next steps…..
ok so i have finally sat down & started to plan poss’ quilt & guess what!!! I am short on material! Hmmmm, back to the drawing board. The material I am using is old & cant be replaced/* bugger
ok, so yes I could finally find some ironing starch here in Austria & you know what!! They wanted to charge me 6bucks!! No thank you. So…. back to the drawing board= internet to find a way of making my own!!
$2 later I had my cornstarch & I was off to make my own/* Ahhh now my patchwork fabric can get ironed & stay stiff. woo hoo.

In approximately 9 weeks, we will be parents!! Yep parents!! Wow, how time flies. Only 9 weeks left out of 9 months!
I have to say, I have heard a thousand horror stories about pregnancy but am happy enough to say that as yet we have not endured any of it. Ok a bit of tiredness here & there but nothing drastic. Oh how sorry I do feel for those who have spent time with their head hanging over the toilet bowl, having cravings of all kinds & who knows what else. I do fear that maybe its not the pregnancy we will have problems with but what little cheeky possum might come about. hehehe, I am sure he is going to love his Mumma & Papa very much & is going to be well behaved & cause us no grief. Positivity is the key to success.
Congratulations to all you Mumma’s & Papa’s out there who have made it so far. Oh yeah & here in Austr(al)ia it’s mother’s day on Sunday, sooooo….. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!
